Indoor Air Quality FAQ

Will an air purifier really help with allergies?+

Yes — a whole-home purifier captures the fine particles (pollen, pet dander, dust mites) that a standard 1-inch filter misses, often reducing allergy symptoms noticeably within a few weeks.

Do UV lights actually kill mold and bacteria?+

UV-C light installed at the indoor coil disrupts mold, bacteria, and virus DNA as air passes over it. It's a proven, low-maintenance addition to any HVAC system.

What humidity level should I keep my home at?+

30–50% is the comfortable, healthy range. Too dry causes static and cracked wood; too humid encourages mold. A whole-home humidifier or dehumidifier keeps you in the sweet spot automatically.

How often should I change my air filter?+

Standard 1" filters: every 1–3 months. Media filters (4–5"): every 6–12 months. Members get filter reminders included with their plan.
